UK Discount Sales offer an extended warranty on top of the normal manufacturers' warranty. (Check with us beforehand if necessary). What we do is simply top up your investment of a brand new LCD or Plasma TV screen, giving you piece of mind in an emergency. Normal manufacturers' warranties are on-site warranties meaning that the manufacturer will offer to repair or replace your item within the warranty period.
Our warranty is a Return To Base Warranty (RTB), which means that it is the customers' responsibility once the original manufacturers' warranty has expired to return the TV to us if deemed to be faulty.
UK Discount Sales do NOT permit the transfer of this warranty to any other person other than the original purchaser / receiver.
What is Not protected under your Warranty
1. No costs will be incurred by UK Discount Sales while your TV is protected by the manufacturers' warranty or if any modification has been made or other repair work undertaken.
2. If your TV is deemed faulty due to the consumer failing to follow the manufacturers'operating instructions.
3. Please advise UK Discount Sales if your TV is to be used in a Commercial environment, otherwise your extended warranty may be deemed void..
4. UK Discount Sales will not cover your TV in the event of: Theft, Accidental Damage, Attempted Theft, Damage in Transit, Floods, Lightning, Storms, Frost, Fire, Explosion, Malicious Damage or by problems with your Gas or Water supplies..
5. No fault being found with your equipment.(A small charge will be made for our repair specialist looking at your TV and re-delivery of your TV back to you).
6. If your TV is transferred outside of the UK (unless agreed with us beforehand)..
7. No costs will be incurred by UK Discount Sales for items that are faulty and require removing and reinstating from built-in or fitted equipment.(it is up to the consumer to remove the item)..
8. Cosmetic Damage to paintwork, dents, scratches, rust, corrosion or water / cleaning damage and food and drink spoilage..
9. Replacement of any item or accessory that is intended to be replaceable. These include fuses, batteries, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and related starters, filters, attachments, cables, plugs, light covers or rain covers..
10.On Plasma screens costs due to physical or electrical stress, burned screen or software interlace issues..
11.Repairs due to pixel failure where the number or location is not in excess of the manufacturer’s acceptable limit.
Returns.
Items returned to UK Discount Sales MUST be authorised first. With this warranty your proof of purchase is required and any emails / documentation issued by UK Discount Sales. You MUST return your item to us FULLY INSURED post (courier) and packaged to a high standard that it was originally received in. UK Discount Sales can arrange for pick-up of your item at the consumers expense.
If in the event that our authorised repairer cannot repair your TV then we will replace the faulty one for a brand new one of similar specification. Under NO circumstances will a refund be given outside of the original manufacturers' warranty period.
Governing Law and your Statutory Rights.
This plan does not affect your statutory rights. This plan is governed by English Law, unless we have agreed otherwise with you..
Transferring your plan .
You can NOT transfer your plan to a new owner of the Equipment..
